The Oscar Araripe Foundation, a public non-profit organization, has its own modern and well equipped Gallery of 80m2, which is available for exhibitions, lectures and launches, at its headquarters in the Historic Centre of Tiradentes in Minas Gerais state, Brazil.

It also has a digital laboratory for audiovisual creation and an active nucleus of artistic and cultural projects, including art classes for children and adults.

The Society for Friends and Curators and the Centre for Studies and References for the Alencar Family are both housed at the Foundation.With its strong interest in the relations between Art and Education, Art and Science, and Art and Art itself, the Oscar Araripe Foundation develops projects that aim to embellish our world and enrich our liberty.

The Foundation’s permanent collection consists of some of the painter’s works, currently being catalogued, published and unpublished works, and authorial rights. It contains books, furniture, documents, letters, and other valuable objects, including a collection of paintings by other artists, both gifts of the painter and his wife, and also generated by exhibitions held by the Foundation in its Gallery, with the objective of constructing its own Pinakothek.
